Animals and Lights

While is Chicago we visited Cosley Animal Farm. They have a bunch of lights up! Totally cute!

When we got back to Indy we went to Christmas at the Zoo. Totally fun, too! I recommend it if you live in Indy.
Tonight we will be ringing in the New Year with some close friends. We still have one more Christmas party to attend: The Mark Christmas party. And Bridget with be 3 months old tomorrow. I'm sure there will be more pictures to post soon.

Chicago Snow

Chicago got lots of snow while we were there. Here's Lil being pulled by Emily. Fun in the snow!

So while everyone was outside I decided to look through the pictures and that's when I realized we were lacking in the Bridget pictures, so I quickly took the one below!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning...Lily got that pink bike she had been asking for. Her face was priceless when she saw it. She left milk and cookies our for Santa. Santa actually left a cookie right outside her door with a huge bite out of it. If you come within a 30 foot radius of Lily, she will tell you the story of the cookie.

Checking out what Santa left in her stocking.

Playing with toys before we left for Bamma and Papa's. We travelled to Chicago and had a magnificent brunch with Bamma, Papa, Auntie Emily, Aunt CC, Uncle Nick, Rocky and Gizmo. Then we opened up presents. The night before Lily seemed a little overwhelmed opening presents. She was still overwhelmed in the morning, but caught on by the end.

Hanging out with Emmy.

Again Bridget, sorry no pics of you. You were asleep!

Pre-Christmas

Yikes, finally getting Christmas posted. The picture below is when we went to the Children's Museum. They have all this Christmas stuff up and you can meet Santa. Lily was not so impressed with the Holiday Wonderland and really just wanted to do what we always do when we go there.

Acting like a nut!
Christmas Eve! Above is what Katie and Uncle G got her! We had a great Christmas Eve. We went to my mom's and had a delicious lunch and opened gifts for the girls. We went downtown to mass at St. John's where Fr. Steve is. The church is gorgeous and it was fun to see Fr. Steve. We came back to our house where we put the girls to bed and had cocktails, appetizers, and dessert. We opened presents and ended up staying up until 1 AM.

Lily with her present from Uncle G.

So this is our only picture of Bridget on Christmas or Christmas Eve. I feel really bad. Is it second child syndrome? Bridget, if you ever read this post when you are older...Mommy and Daddy love you LOTS! We are sorry there are not as many pictures of you. You seem to be sleeping every time we want to take pictures!

It's Almost Christmas!

Tyler and I have TWO weeks off! This weekend we took a trip to Trader's Point Creamery. It was so fun!! In the barn they had crafts, booths selling all sorts of stuff, and Santa. There were bonfires and hot chocolate outside. We took a ride on their tractor around the property.
Bridget all bundled up!

Lily feeding the cows.
Unfortunately, it was a two hour wait for the restaurant. They use all stuff that is grown on the farm in it. We did bring some home some of their egg nog and chocolate milk and both are so delicious!!
Can't wait to do more fun things while Tyler is home!

Happenings of the Week

Last weekend we went to Disney on Ice. It was about 1 1/2 hours and Lily stayed pretty focused the whole time. She loved seeing Mickey and Goofy dressed as Santa.

Lily being a nut during the performance.
Watching Christmas movies with Dad.
We went to the Children's Museum this week with my friend Courtney and her son, Cooper. Lily and Cooper loved the water!

Bridget and I enjoying the museum.

This morning we had breakfast with Santa. Lily was able to tell him that she wanted a pink bike and candy. She was still a little too nervous to sit on his lap, though.

Hanging out with Nana and Grandad.

Seriously Santa, I am WAY too busy sleeping!
Today we finally got our Christmas tree and decorated it. Hopefully, I'll get pictures up soon. We are having some friends over tomorrow for dinner. Monday is our baking day if Lily and Bridget cooperate! Busy, busy, busy....but with so much fun stuff!

2nd month...finally!

Finally, got these posted! I couldn't get a pic of her actually smiling. Check out that double chin! Lately, she been ALL smiles and coos! Thank goodness because Lily has been a challenge. Let's just say Bridget is going to be one tough cookie and when she can finally fight back, Lily is going to get it!
I can't believe the difference from one to two. It takes me about 1 1/2 hours to get everyone out the door when I go to work. Insane!!

First Hair Cut

Check out the new bob! Lily had her very hair cut today and loved every second of it. She had been talking about it all day. Lots of firsts this week. I can barely stand it. Can't they just stay little forever?

Big Girl Bed

Lily slept in her big girl bed last night for the first time. It took her 2 1/2 hours to fall asleep!! As I type, she is lying up there for nap. It has been about 1 1/2 hours. The transition is not going quite as I hoped! I'm sure we'll get there soon. My little girl is growing up and I'm not sure that I like it.

Bridget was baptized!

Bridget was baptized this past Saturday at St. Luke, the church where Tyler and I were married. Fr. Steve baptized her. She was pretty grumpy most of the ceremony and so was her sister. Here are some pics from the day. I forgot about the wonderful smell of the oils they put on the babies. She smelled so good!!
Our family of four!
With the Godparents!

Thanks for baptizing me Fr. Steve!

Everyone!

See ya original sin!

This was the same dress that Lily and I were baptized in. It was made out of the leftover fabric from my mom's wedding dress!

Happy Thanksgiving!

What Tyler came home to one night!
Bridget and her buddy Hunter. (Jennie Price's, AGD sister, little guy)

Thanksgiving with Nana.

Bridget's no-toothed smile. You can still see her acne in this pic, but it has cleared up now.

I've been absent for a while. Tyler was on retreat. He left last Tuesday and didn't come back until Friday. It makes for a interesting week of lots of patience and little time for the blog. On top of him being gone, little Bridget got pink eye! Poor thing! Lily has never been on medicine and my 7 week old has. But it has cleared up and she looks much better.

Lily, Bridget, and I got together with a couple of my sorority sisters, who also have kids. It was fun to meet all the new ones and catch up with them.
Bridget update: She's smiling ALL the time and is such a snuggle bug. I love it! She continues to sleep well. Her neck is getting stronger everyday and she can hold her head up for a little.
Lily update: Lily loves her sister, but also loves to give her "love" smacks. My favorite Lily story lately is rather humorous, I think. When I put Lily in time out she cries for Daddy and she cries for Mama when Daddy puts her in time out. Well, we had both put her in time out the other day, so she cries for Ricky, my dad's dog. Of course, ha!

We had Thanksgiving here this year. I made mashed potatoes for the first time ever. I think they turned out pretty good, just a couple of lumps. We had a fierce game of Scattegories. Who wouldn't throw out rotting rhubarb?

Bridget is getting baptized this weekend. We are looking forward to the Mayers coming in town. Uncle Bubba and Auntie Emily are the godparents.

As I type, Tyler is putting up the Christmas lights. He has acquired 20 MORE strands this year. Oh my! If you live close you should drop by, it is usually quite a sight. It is fun that he gets so into Christmas. I think Lily will be blown away by the lights this year. You may also send donations for our electric bill!

Help Lily be a Boilermaker!

Another sign that I'm getting older...we have a college savings program for Lily. A minivan, life insurance, a mortgage-I feel like I was just wearing my "I'm 21!" shirt yesterday. Anyways, you can click on the link below

http://www.upromise.com/guest/2011720766

when shopping online this Christmas (or anytime) and help put money in Lily's account. All you have to do is click the link, search for the site where you would like to purchase something (they have almost everything), and a portion of what you spend is put in Lily's account. You don't have to sign up for anything and it's totally free for you!

Happy 1 Month Birthday Bridget!

This first month (and a couple of days, yes, I'm already more late with Bridget's picture than I ever was with Lily) has flown by! Bridget is really a breeze of a baby and has such a sweet personality. Not to mention, she's already very tough, because her sister tends to be a tad rough with her. She just started to smile. In the picture she's just about ready to Boiler Up! So happy to have two little girls! And aren't you so happy birthday bear and the monthly pictures are back? I know you missed them!

Happy Halloween

Finally, the Halloween pictures are posted! It's been slightly hectic around here. Here's Lily with our carved pumpkins. She did NOT like carving the pumpkins. The orange goo totally freaked her out! She wasn't too sure about trick or treating at first. But after a couple of houses, she got the hang of it and didn't want to stop!
Tigger and Grandad!

The 3 girls!

Hey Tigger! Can you see her poor little baby acne?

This is the same costume Tyler wore when he was two. Bamma Mayer made it!!!

Playdate with Nora

Yesterday was one of those gorgeous fall days!! It was warm, sunny, and the leaves were beautiful. We called Nora (or Nowa as Lily says) to see if she wanted to go to the park. Here they are on the see saw. Also, thanks so much to Nora and Katie for making us dinner! It was delicious!!!!!

Here is a picture of Bridget. I feel like I haven't posted too many of her up close. I'm still working on getting one when she is actually awake. This little one loves to sleep like her Mommy. Today Bridget and I are hanging out, just the two of us. Lily is at school. I'm trying to take advantage of these days, when I can just cuddle with her. I know that too soon I will be back at work.
