Christmas!

Lily had a wonderful first Christmas! We had Christmas Eve dinner at our house with my family. Then we got up Christmas morning and went to the Mayer's. Lily slept the whole way! She got to meet the first of two great grandma's, Great Grandma Mayer! She's looking forward to meeting Great Grandma O'Brien. Grandma Mayer had a fun Open House so that people could meet Lily. Lily was dressed in her very cute Christmas dress. About 10 minutes into the party she decided she didn't want to wear the dress and let a big one go!! Dad was very proud.

A very special Santa stopped by our house to see Lily today! Also, Lily update: We went to the doctor this week. Lily is in the 95th percentile for head size. Does she get her big head from her father?

Lily's Debut!

Lily made her first acting debut last night! She played Jesus in the Christmas pageant at church. She acted the role perfectly and slept through all the singing. Tyler and I were Mary and Joseph. Tell me that's not the scariest Joseph you've EVER seen. The children from school sang Christmas carols, while we sat on the altar. The children loved staring at us, wondering if we were the real thing. One little girl finally got up the courage and asked, "Is that baby real?" and I told her, "Yes." Then she proceeded to ask, "Are you the real Mary?" It was so cute. She didn't ask Tyler anything. She must have known the creepy beard was fake.

Lily met Santa for the first time today. She loved his beard. He gave her a crazy monkey that makes funny sounds. Santa loved her Christmas dress that Fr. Meyer gave her.

Lily and Dad

Lily loves playing with Dad. He makes all sorts of funny sounds and she just smiles away! She's getting so big!!!! I had to put all her newborn clothes away. It made me a little sad. Her new favorite thing is to looked at stuffed animals. She just smiles away and coos at them. It's very cute.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We went to Grandma's and Grandad's for Thanksgiving. Lily partied the whole time when we were there and then slept for 5 hours when we got home!!!!! Here are some pictures of her getting ready and Thanksgiving. She loves the bathtub!

It's Been Too Long!

Tyler has slowed down on his posts, so I have decided to take over. We went the Lily's first check-up last week. She has already grown an inch and gained 1 1/2 pounds. She is smiling a lot!!! Grandma and Grandpa Mayer also made it to town again. We knew they couldn't stay away too long! Also, Lily turned 1 month old on Saturday.
