3rd Generation Horse Ride

It's finally been GORGEOUS around here. The other day Lily and I had a picnic. I think this is definitely something we will do more frequently, because she loved it. But I must confess....I did pick up the picnic table off the curb. Yes, someone was throwing it out. It's in perfectly good shape, just a little faded. I just Magic Erased it and washed it down and it's perfect. I'm rather excited about my find.

Also, this week we watched my cousins while my aunt and uncle were out of town. In their basement they have the horse pictured above. Not only did I ride this horse when I was little, but so did my dad! Kinda crazy!

Prom 2009

Lily attended her first prom. On Friday night, Chatard put on a prom for the people of St. Augustine's home. It's absolutely adorable. All the high school kids give the older people a corsage and they dance the night away. Everyone is dressed up and the older people love it. People even can get the traditional prom picture in front of a starry background! ha! Lily danced the night away with everyone. She had her little Easter dress on. The DJ had a bubble machine and every time it went off Lily got so excited that she would scream. All in all it was a great evening and it was so fun to see the high school kids interacting with the older people. I asked one man if we was dancing and he said, "No, I'm just going to talk to the pretty girls." But my favorite comment of the night as I was standing next to Tyler was, "Is that your Dad?" haha! I forgot my camera though. :(

Happy Belated Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. Lily had been sick most of the week, but finally felt better on Easter. She loved finding the eggs around the house.

Here's Lily in her Easter dress. I didn't get too many good pictures, but she looked adorable in it. Thanks Grandma Mayer!!!
Looking for Easter eggs! She loved to shake them and hear the coins inside.

Stealing candy!
Tyler and I both got Lily's illness, so we've been sick most of this week, but finally are starting to feel better. ew! Today it was finally sunny and warm so we played outside. Lily enjoyed literally digging in the mud. I'm 16 weeks along now and you can kinda see my belly. Almost half way there.

Meeting Rickey

Here are a couple of pictures of Lily and Rickey! He is a GREAT dog! He's very obedient, but is also very sweet. His coat is very soft and he loves to play catch. He will continue his training with his trainer and my dad this week. Lily also figured out if she goes behind Rickey to pet him, so won't get as many kisses from him. ha!

This is a video from last night. It's really dark, but all you really need is the sound. Lily is throwing the ball to Rickey and he's catching it. She thinks it's hysterical.

A Trip to North Carolina

While Tyler was in El Salvador and my Dad was in New Jersey, Lily, my mom, and I headed to North Carolina. We visited my cousin Thomas, Aunt Sarah, and Uncle Hunter. Lily had tons of fun hanging out with Thomas. The mountains were gorgeous! The trip there took about 8 hours and Lily did a great job. Tyler had gotten a portable DVD player so Lily enjoyed some her favorites...mostly Handy Manny and Tigger and Pooh. We are back home now and anxiously awaiting Tyler and Granddad to come home!

It's a Boy!

No, not our little peanut...my dad's new seeing eye dog! My Dad left last weekend to meet and start training with his new dog! It's a golden retriever named Rickey. He will be back on Sunday and we can't wait to meet him. We know Lily will love him. He says he's an amazing dog. He will have one more week of training when he gets back. I'll post pics soon.
