Playdate with Nora

Yesterday was one of those gorgeous fall days!! It was warm, sunny, and the leaves were beautiful. We called Nora (or Nowa as Lily says) to see if she wanted to go to the park. Here they are on the see saw. Also, thanks so much to Nora and Katie for making us dinner! It was delicious!!!!!

Here is a picture of Bridget. I feel like I haven't posted too many of her up close. I'm still working on getting one when she is actually awake. This little one loves to sleep like her Mommy. Today Bridget and I are hanging out, just the two of us. Lily is at school. I'm trying to take advantage of these days, when I can just cuddle with her. I know that too soon I will be back at work.

T was in town!

Thanks Great Grandma O'Brien for me new hat! I love it!!!
Mommy's 3 cuties!

T, as Lily calls him, came in town with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Hunter. They all got to meet Bridget. Lily was THRILLED Thomas was here. We went to the Children's Museum with him and even walked through the haunted house. Above is a picture of Lily with Daddy on a bulldozer. For as girly as Lily is, she loves trucks of all kinds!

I love this pic because of the pig tails.

T and Bridget...passed out as usual!

Getting Pumpkins

Tyler is gone on Senior Retreat this week, but my mom is staying with us (thank goodness!). Another set of hands makes things much more manageable. Bridget is doing GREAT! I am a little hesitant to say she's a really good sleeper. I'm afraid I will jinx myself. But most nights she will go for stretches of 5-6 hours. Lily didn't do this until she was at least 6 months old. Bridget gets up to eat and will go right back to sleep. Lily would get up to eat and then want to party. The two girls personalities are already different. It's so fun to see. I'm such a lucky and blessed mom!

Sisters hanging out!
We decided to get out of the house and venture to the pumpkin patch. We got to go on hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Lily loved it!

Posing with Nana.

Bridget's thoughts on getting a pumpkin.

Lily riding the pumpkin train. She was waving the whole time and saying, "bye."

They even had a little petting zoo.

Happy 2nd Birthday Lily

We celebrated Lily's 2nd birthday on Saturday! Oh my, how time flies. She had been anticipating it all week. She kept talking about cake, blowing out candles, and presents. Papa and Bamma came from Chicago and Auntie Emily took the bus all the way from Dayton. My family was here and even Fr. Steve and Mr. Ruffing stopped by!

Opening presents from mom and dad.
Ready for her Mickey Mouse party!

Sooooooo excited about everyone singing happy birthday to her!

Feeding the Ducks

We took our first family outing yesterday. With everyone bundled in coats and hats we ventured off for a walk on the Monon. We stopped and fed the ducks. It was nice to get out on such a beautiful day.

We're Home!

I can't believe she is finally here and that she is a girl! When the doctor told us,"It's a girl!" I'm pretty sure I said, "No, freaking way!" Ha! I was totally convinced it was a boy because the pregnancy was TOTALLY different from Lily. But how fun to have a girl! I can't wait to dress the two alike. Also, thank goodness the delivery was shorter.

We arrived home on Saturday and the Mayer's and Nick came. We had a great weekend with them. Grandma, aka Bama, and Lily says, spoiled us with lots of good meals and taking care of all the laundry. It was wonderful.

Today Bridget and I are hanging out together. Lily went to school and will continue to go on Tuesdays and Thursdays even when I'm not at work. I think it will be good to keep her on her same schedule, plus it will give Bridget and I some bonding time alone. Lily adores her sister. She always wants to hold her and constantly give her kisses. I was a little worried she would be completely jealous, but she really hasn't been. She just wants to help all the time. Thanks for all the well wishes, prayers, and emails!!! Here are some pics of the last couple of days.

Maureen happened to be in town this weekend! Yeah!
Cuddling with Bridget. Still can't believe I have 2 little girls!!

Proud Daddy and totally outnumbered now.

Checking up on her lil sis!

Tyler and I were talking a couple of days before Bridget came. We couldn't image a time when we didn't have Lily. It seems like she's always been a part of our lives. I'm sure the time will come quickly when we can't imagine a time without Bridget.

Oops! Downloaded this one twice.

Hanging out with Uncle Nick. Lily refused to get a bath from anyone but Uncle Nick this weekend! ha!

The two proud grandparents!

I love this one.

The Mayer Three to the Mayer Four

Bridget Anne 6 lbs 12 oz. 20 inches long. Born: 10/01/09 @ 5:59 am. She is a pretty normal baby so far. The highlights have been her long hair, her long toes, Lily being very protective (even telling the nurse "NO!" when she took her away from mommy), Fr. Steve blessing her, and Lily checking under her hat to see if she had any hair (and yes...she does have hair...obviously she did not get that from Dad's genes!).

Off to the Hospital

Well, it has been about two years since I have posted! Allison is busy with trying to give birth so I have been summoned to inform everyone that we are off to the hospital. Hopefully the next time I post it will be accompanied by pictures of the new little pumpkin head!
