To the moon...

Lily has a UTI, poor thing. She's so uncomfortable, but really isn't complaining. She had an accident last night, so I was up changing her bed. She insisted that she come downstairs with me to help start cleaning her sheets. As we were downstairs, she noticed the bright moon shining through one of our larger windows. She asked, "Can we go see it?" Even though it was past midnight, I decided to abide by her wishes. She really hadn't asked for anything since she has been sick. I held her and we walked outside and the bugs were chirping loudly. The moon really lit up the backyard, so it didn't really seem much past 9 pm. It was about three-quarters full and a really bright white. Then she asked, "Can we go get it?" and reached out her hand. She honestly thought she could reach out and touch it. The mind of my two-year-olds always makes me smile.

First Day of Preschool

Yesterday was Lily's first day of preschool. When I picked her up she was so excited to tell me everything about the day, including a little mischief she got into. When I dropped her off she says, "Don't worry Mom, I'm going to take care of all the kids who are crying!" I was thinking, "Are you going to take care of me who is about to cry?" But really, I'm so glad she loves school so much.

Bridget also went back to school. She is one of the oldest now in her class. She did ok the first day. As most of you know, I work at the high school I went to. They have a little child care there. At one point the babies were going for a walk around the school. I happened to bump right into Bridget. She got a little upset, so I held her for a while. She helped me make some copies and then I brought her back to school. It's so great to have my kids so close all day.

So yes, I'm back to work, also...boo! I feel like those lazy days of summer FLEW by. I still only work 2 days a week though, so we can still have some fun before the summer ends.

10 Months Old

Yep, 10 months old! Her hair is getting so thick. She may even need a little trim soon. She can pull herself up on tables and crawls FAST. I can't believe her first birthday is just around the corner.

The Wedding!!!!

The big day finally arrived! It was absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful celebration. Maureen was absolutely STUNNING! Lily did a great job walking down the aisle with a big smile! And I of course cried the whole way down the aisle. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Joyce!

Maggie Valley, NC

My parents rented a house in Maggie Valley, NC. This is very close to where my Uncle Hunter, Aunt Sarah, and Thomas live. We hiked, went pontooning, rafting, laughed, and ate lots of delicious food!

Bamma bought this dress for Lily for an O'Brien wedding when Lily was 9 months old. Bridget also wore it to Jackie's wedding this year. Can you tell which is Lily and which is Bridget?

To Cleveland!

We attended Jackie (Tyler's cousin) and Nick's beautiful wedding in Cleveland. It was so fun to see the O'Brien side of the family. Lily loved it because there were so many girls to play with.
